About

Old demons, painted the old way, saying the things no one says out loud.

onielegy is a demon a day: a picture in the manner of the old Japanese woodblock masters, and one short, dark line that goes with it. The name is oni, the horned demons of Japanese folklore, and elegy, a song of mourning. Most of them are about the things we carry.

Every picture we post ends up here. Pick the one that found you, and we print it on paper or cotton, one at a time, only once you order it, so nothing is made to sit in a warehouse.

New ones go up on Instagram first.
